Holly Hallstrom

Holly Hallstrom (born August 24, 1952) was one of the models ("Barker's Beauties") on the daytime game show The Price is Right, from 1977–1995. This red-headed model was well-loved by fans; she was best known for having all kinds of problems with prizes and various set pieces.

In 1995, Hallstrom was dismissed from the show. When she subsequently complained that she had been fired for failing to lose weight — which she claimed was the result of side-effects from prescription drugs she took for a hormonal imbalance — host Bob Barker sued her for libel and slander. Hallstrom replied with a countersuit for wrongful termination. She has since won what she has described as "millions", but mentions that Bob Barker did not have to dish out a penny for the settlement. She plans to get her life back in order, as she was living in her car for a time. She has started a foundation especially for those who are suing for harrassment in the workplace, but don't have the financial resources to fight corporations or people who are savvy and financially well off.
