ITV4 is a UK television station which will launch on November 1, 2005. The ITV plc channel will have a male-oriented line-up including sport, cop shows and US sitcoms.
ITV4 will be broadcast on Freeview, NTL and is likely to be on digital satellite television (*see note below). It was expected that ITV4 would replace the existing Men & Motors channel, until ITV stated that the two channels would run alongside each other.
It will air daily between 6pm and 6am across all digital platforms.
- Although no deal has been officially announced by ITV or British Sky Broadcasting to add ITV4 to the Sky Digital EPG a test transmission has appeared on Astra 2D (10.758 GHz vertical SR:22000 FEC:5/6 Label: 10072) which is carring the EPG data for ITV4. This possibly indicates that if the channel doesn't launch officially on Sky Digital it will still be available on Digital Satellite via the above frequency. Also to note that the test transmission is currently carrying video from Men & Motors adding fuel to the rumour that ITV4 will replace this channel.
The logo may also be used as a new corporate logo for all ITV channels.
