Her Royal Highness Princess Ingrid of Sweden (Ingrid Victoria Sofia Louise Margareta Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg, née Bernadotte) (March 28, 1910-November 7, 2000) was the queen consort of King Frederick IX of Denmark.

She was the third child of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Princess Margaret of Connaught. She also was a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria.

The intelligent, dignified and highly respected Princess Ingrid married Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark and Iceland, on May 24, 1935. She became Queen Ingrid of Denmark at his accession to the throne on April 20, 1947. The couple had three children:

  1. Princess Margrethe, now Queen of Denmark (1940-)
  2. Princess Benedikte (1944-)
  3. Princess Anne-Marie, (1946-), former Queen of Greece (1964-1973)

On her passing in 2000, Queen Ingrid was interred next to her husband outside Roskilde Cathedral near Copenhagen.
