Jackie Pearcey

Dr Jackie Pearcey is a Liberal Democrat politician in the City of Manchester. Born on 23 September 1963 she has served as a councillor in the Gorton North ward since 1991. She has stood for parliament three times, once in Davyhulme, then twice for the Manchester Gorton. Candidate in the 1999 European Elections.

Educated at Leeds Girls' High School. BSc in Physics from Bristol University (1985) and PhD in Applied Nuclear Physics from Manchester University (1990). Currently works in Information Technology.

She is a published author of self-help guides for councillors and political activists, and an accredited trainer.
