James III of Majorca
From Freepedia
James III (1315–1349), son of Ferdinand of Majorca and Isabelle de Sabran, heiress of Principality of Achaia. At the death of his mother 1315, he succeeded as Prince of Achaia, under the guardianship of his father, who however was killed in 1316. At the death of his uncle Sancho, he succeeded as king of Majorca, being grandson of James II. He was driven out of his little state of Majorca and finally murdered by his cousin Pedro IV of Aragon, who definitely reannexed the Balearic Islands to the crown. Up to 1330's, he was widely recognized as ruler of all Morea, i.e Principality of Achaea.
He married Constança of Aragon, daughter of Alfonso IV of Aragon. His heir was his son James IV of Majorca, who ruled in Morea as Prince of Achaia and was claimant to Majorca, and was married with Queen Joan I of Naples. James IV, King-consort of Naples, died childless and James III's daughter, Elizabeth, the Margravine of Montferrat, inherited the claims.
