John Cook (general)

John Cook (June 12, 1825 – October 13, 1910) was born in Belleville, Illinois. His father was Daniel Cook, the state's first representative. During the Civil War, Cook rose to the rank of Brevet Major General. He died near Ransom, Michigan in 1910.
