Loro Parque

Loro Parque is a zoo on Tenerife. It was opened in 1978 with 150 parrots. There are now over 1400 parrots (claimed to be the largest collection in the world), as well as the largest "penguinarium" in the world, dolphins and various other animals. Some filming of the 2005 movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy took place in Loro Parque.
