Malvinas Argentinas

Malvinas Argentinas is a partido (county) of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, in the Gran Buenos Aires. Its name reflects Argentina's claims over the sovereignty of the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands). It was created on October 20, 1994 by Provincial law 11551, taking some of the territory of former Partido de General Sarmiento. Its population is 290,691 (2001 Census).
