Marie Laurencin

Image:Marielaurencin.jpg Marie Laurencin (October 31, 1883 — June 8, 1956), Parisian painter and engraver. Her work, influenced by Picasso, often showed theater scenes. However, her early work mainly depicted young girls. She preferred to work with pastels. Through her friend Guillaume Apollinaire she knew the main Cubists.
She was born in Paris and there she lived for her entire life.
