Michael Wolfgang Laurence Morris, Baron Naseby (born November 25,1936) was first elected to the United Kingdom House of Commons in February 1974, and represented the formerly safe Conservative seat of Northampton South until his defeat in the 1997 landslide victory of Labour under Tony Blair. From 1992 Morris held the non-voting position of Chairman of Ways and Means and Deputy Speaker, and after the election he accepted a Life Peerage.
