Mission kill

A mission kill refers to the result of an attack or damage inflicted by a weapon that does not destroy a military vehicle but results in it taking no further part in its intended mission.

Examples

• A ground attack aircraft attacked by a fighter aircraft or surface to air missile might jettison it's bombs in order to escape, even though it escapes it is unable to complete its original mission — and has thus suffered a mission kill.
• A mobility kill or firepower kill to a tank.
