Mount Coot-tha

Mount Coot-tha, Is a prominant landmark appoximately 6 km to the west of the central business district of Brisbane, it also forms the eastern extent of the Taylor Range. At the summit there is a lookout which overlooks the city of Brisbane.
Mount Coot-tha is Brisbane's most popular tourist destination and the restaurant which adjoins the lookout has large windows through which can be viewed the lights of the city at night.
At the base of Mount Coot-tha are the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mount Coot-tha, which has a tropical plants hothouse and also the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium within its grounds.
Brisbane's free-to-air television stations broadcast to Brisbane from the top of Mount Coot-tha.
