Mukluk
From Freepedia
Mukluks are a soft boot made of reindeer skin or sealskin and worn by arctic native Americans, including the Inuit and Yupik. The word itself is of Yupik origin, from maklak, the bearded seal.
Mukluks weigh little and allow hunters to move very quietly. They may be adorned with pompons and beads and lined with furs such as rabbit.
Mukluks have become an upmarket fashion item in the U.S. and Europe. Notable wearers of mukluks include supermodel Kate Moss and movie actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
