Nemanjić

Nemanjić (Serbian Немањић; in English formerly Nemanjid) was a medieval Serbian ruling dynasty.
The dynasty was named after Stefan Nemanja. It was descended from the cadet line of the House of Vojislavljević. The house of Nemanjić gave eleven Serbian monarchs between 1166 and 1371.
The family crest was a bicephalic argent eagle on a red shield, inherited from the Byzantine Paleologus dynasty.
The House of Nemanjić ruled the Serb lands between ca. 1166 up to 1371.
