Nerd Boy

The Adventures of Nerd Boy is a webcomic by Joaquim Gândara made of ASCII symbols. While it was not a novel concept when Nerd Boy was created (the first strip is dated August 6,2001) it is indeed the best known, and the only one that is still actively produced (3 times a week). More than 600 strips have been created. Being posted in Usenet newsgroup alt.ascii-art the comic gained a large number of fans. Some of the episodes have been translated to Polish and French.

Nerd Boy is a main character of the comic. He is a geek obsessed with computers and creating various high-tech devices.

Mandy

Mandy is the female friend (friend?) of Nerd Boy, who enjoys playing evil jokes on everyone and just being nasty.

Fan Boy

Fan Boy is a fan of everything. He prefers making conclusions without much thinking and believes everything said to him. He is an avid gamer, but otherwise knows little about computers.

Linda

W4R3Z D00D is a L33T h4x0r. He is also very greedy, seeking profit from various evil schemes. He is the brother of Fan Boy.

Future Nerd Boy

Future Nerd Boy is from the future(DUH) and travels back in time to taunt and play jokes on Nerd Boy, and to give him obscure and often useless advice.

HammerHead

Hammerhead has a hammer for a head. No one likes him, and all his attempts to change that are futile.

The Robot

Introduced early on. It was bought at a Japanese IKEA by Nerd Boy, and as a result, it speaks Japanese. Mandy despises it, and will do anything to destroy it.
