Nertera is a genus of plants belonging to the family Rubiaceae. Native to the Southern Hemisphere, South America, New Zealand and Australia although one member at least of genus, N granadensis, or Bead Plant is available world wide to gardeners.
Nertera bsalfouriana is a New Zealand native plant, forming small but dense patches of vegetation on wet boggy ground at altitudes between about 600 to 1000m. It fruits in February, small bright red berries which can cover the whole plant.
