Nicholas Bourbon
From Freepedia
Nicholas Bourbon (b. Troyes, France, 1503 or 1505 - d. after 1550), also known as "Nicholas Bourbon the Elder", was a court preceptor and poetaster. He wrote a collection of poems called of Nugae (Latin for 'trifles').
He came to England in 1535 to pay homage to Henry VIII of England and his second Queen consort Anne Boleyn in gratitude for help received from them while under persecution in France.
Nugae was the subject of an epigram of John Owen.
