Orang Laut

Orang Laut are a group of Malay people living in the Riau Islands of Indonesia. The term Malay Orang Laut literally means sea people. They are mainly Muslims.

Historically, Orang Laut played an important role in the Sultanate of Malacca as well as Johor.
