Location: Central and Southern Africa

Habitat: Lowlands and never far from water

Oribi are slender animals that reach a length of about four feet long and two feet high at the shoulder. It can way up to 45 pounds. They are usually pale brown to red and have white undersides. Only males grow horns. They have short and bushy tails, long necks, and long oval ears.

Oribi are active during the day and night and keep to the shade. Oribi eat grass and drink water regularly. They live anywhere from singualarly to groups of 12 with equal amounts of each sex. When running, it makes a movement called 'stotting' where it jumps and leaves both legs stiff.

Oribi are considered an endangered species.
