Overtown

From Freepedia

Overtown is an unincorporated neighborhood in the city of Miami, Florida.

It is located just north of Little Havana, east of Downtown Miami, west of Allapattah, and south of Little Haiti.

It previously was once of the most afluent Black neighborhoods in the country with a thriving cultural and business section. When the local governments decided to build Interstate 95 (I-95) through the heart of Overtown it devastated the local economy and caused it's demise.
