Paul (pronunciation: PA-oo), also Paúl is a municipality in the island of Santo Antão of the Barlavento in Cape Verde. Together with Ribeira Grande, it covers one-third of the island and home to two-thirds of the population.

Paul are linked with roads linking to Porto Novo and Ribeira Grande and there is no road through the island's east coast. as well as one linking to Ponta do Sol and to Paul (Paúl). Farmlands dominate within the Atlantic Coastline and in valley areas especially the central part, grasslands, bushes and forests cover the mountainous parts and the southwestern parts along with dry lands. The taller mountains lie to the southwest.

Its main economy are agriculture in Paul, it is followed by tourism which is one of the main industry. The majority of the population are rural.

Paul has a few schools or collegiates (colegio), a few lyceums (middle schools), gymnasia (secondary schools), churches, beaches, ports, a post office and squares (praças).
