Papuacedrus papuana is a plant species of the family Cupressaceae and the sole species of the genus Papuacedrus. It is usually a 16 to 50 m tall tree (but sometimes a shrub reaching upto 3 m), found uniquely in New Guinea and the eastern Moluccas.

Taxonomy

Some do not consider this species as forming a distinct genus, but include it in Libocedrus or Austrocedrus. The species has 1 variety: Papuacedrus papuana var. papuana.
