Passo Fundo

Passo Fundo is a town and the seat of the municipality of the same name in the Southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It'a the 11th largest town in the state with an estimated population of around 182.000 people. It is the home town of Luiz Felipe Scolari, the soccer coach, and the adopted place of Teixeirinha, a Gaucho folkloric performer.
