Pepe the Prawn

Pepe the Prawn is one of the Muppets. He was first introduced in the 1990s Muppets Tonight TV show. At the time, he would sing along with his partner, Seymour the Elephant, although neither of the two had any real musical talent.

Pepe ditched his partner (Seymour has not been seen since Muppets Tonight went off the air) and began a "solo act" starting in the movie Muppets from Space, and continuing today. He is often used in Rizzo the Rat's old position of light comedic relief and the butt of jokes or victim of accidents.

Pepe is very proud of being a king prawn, and takes great offense if anyone refers to him as "shrimp." He speaks with a heavy Hispanic accent, often punctuating his sentences with "Okay?"
