Photovoltaics
From Freepedia
Photovoltaics is the field of electrical engineering and semiconductor physics which is concerned with the development of and research into solar cells. There are many research institutions and departments at universities around the world who are active in the field of photovoltaics.
In relation to solar cells, photovoltaics is one form of conversion used to convert radiant energy into usable energy. The other common form of conversion is SOLAR THERMAL.
Countries which are particularly active in the field of photovoltaics are Germany, Japan, Australia, and the USA.
Photovoltaics research institutes
Below is an incomplete list of universities and institutes which have a photovoltaics research department.
