Precision bombing

From Freepedia

Precision bombing is the desired skill of being able to bomb single buildings in a built up area, without causing any damage to the surrounding buildings, or the ability to place a bomb by air to within extremely accurate limits. Precision bombing was used by both the Allied and Central Powers during WWI. However, it was no longer widely used in WWII because it was ineffective, since to aim for a specific target, like a bridge or a factory, was very difficult. Therefore, the best that could be achieved was strategic bombing, in hopes that some significant targets might be wiped out. However, it inevitably brought civilian casualties.
