Province of Alessandria

Alessandria (It. Provincia di Alessandria) is a province in the Piedmont region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Alessandria.

It has an area of 3,560 sq km, and a total population of 418,231 (2001). There are 190 communes in the province (source: Italian institute of statistics (Istat), see this link).
