Province of Trieste

Trieste (It. Provincia di Trieste) is a province in the autonomous Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Trieste.

It has an area of 212 sq km, and a total population of 242,235 (2001). There are 6 communes in the province (source: Italian institute of statistics Istat, see this link). The names of the communes are Duino-Aurisina, Trieste, Monrupino, Sgonico, San Dorligo della Valle, Muggia.
