Purulia district

Purulia district (also spelled Puruliya) is one of the 16 districts of West Bengal state, India. Purulia town is the district headquarters. Earlier, the district was a part of Bihar state, India.

The District has no such industries to provide economic support to the common mass. Majority of the population are economically weak and need special support from the Government machinery to uphold their economic as well as social life.
