Q1 (meaning Queensland Number One) is the world's second tallest residential tower, when measured to its roof (275m), and the world's tallest when measured to its pinnacle (the top of its spire, 323m). Only Melbourne's Eureka Tower has a higher roof, at 297.2m.
Q1 is currently nearing completion in the city of Surfers Paradise on Australia's Gold Coast.
Upon completion it will overtake the 21st Century Tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as the world's second tallest residential tower.
Q1 will also be the 17th tallest building in the world. This tower will dwarf the existing skyline of the Gold Coast, at least until the nearby 240m Soul tower, and 220m Circle on Cavill tower are built.
Q1 is designed by Atelier SDG, the developer is Sunland, and the builder is Sunland Constructions.
