Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney are the largest of three major gardens open to the public in Sydney, along with the Mount Annan Botanic Garden and the Mount Tomah Botanic Garden. The 30 hectares of garden, established in 1816, were originally designated as the private garden of the Governor of New South Wales, but were made open to the public within fifteen years.

The Botanic Gardens are situated at Farm Cove in Sydney, on the bay with views of the Sydney Opera House. The park is free to access, and is open every day of the year. The Gardens are located on Mrs Macquarie Street, Farm Cove, Sydney and are accessible by car, bus and train as well as by ferry from Circular Quay.

The Garden features many different flora from Australia and overseas such as the Titan arum. It also has a dedicated tropical centre, feature gardens, indigenous art, kiosks and cafes.
