Sagan Technology (company)

Sagan Technology is a Massachusetts based company focusing on the creation of quality software for Macintosh computers. Currently the software products available are Metro, Metro LX and Metro SE.

The company was founded by Jeremy Sagan, son of biologist Lynn Margulis and astronomer Carl Sagan the host of the renowned TV series Cosmos.

Metro previously named Beyond and sold by Dr T's Music software, OSC and JS Technologies, is a full featured digital audio workstation (DAW) with very sophisticated MIDI support and also allows video editing. One unique feature of this software sequencer is the Rhythm Explorer which allows for a quick way to add rhythmic elements to songs.
