Nasal septum

From Freepedia

(Redirected from Septum nasi)

The nasal septum or septum nasi separates the left and right airways in the nose, dividing the two nostrils. The nasal septum is comprised of the ethmoid bone, vomer bone and the quadrangular cartilage. The nasal septum can depart from the centreline of the nose; this condition is known as a deviated septum. An operation to the nasal septum is known as a septoplasty.
