Setagaya (世田谷区; -ku) is a special ward located in southwest Tokyo, Japan. It is also the name of a neighborhood (chou) within the ward. It was founded on March 15, 1947. Its official bird is the Azure-Winged Magpie, its flower the Fringed Orchid, and its tree the Zelkova.

As of 2003, the ward has an estimated population of 829,624 and a density of 14,284.16 persons per km². Its total area is 58.08 km², making it Tokyo's second largest. As of December 1, 2004, the official population was 805,854 in 413,112 households. Registered foreign residents: 14,608. (See external links below.)
