Shakuntala

Shakuntala was a historical/mythological character. The Recognition of Sakuntala is a Sanskrit play written by Kalidasa. She was the mother of King Bharata. She was believed to be the abandoned daughter of Sage Vishwamitra and divine dancer Menaka, who later married Dushyanth, the King who belonged to the Kuru dynasty.
