The Short-eared Dog (Atelocynus microtis), also known as Small Eared Zorro or Short-eared Fox, can be found in South America. They perfer to be in areas of rainforest with little human disturbance. It has short and slender limbs with short and rounded ears. The Short-eared Dog has a distinctive fox like muzzle and bushy tail. They range from dark to reddish-grey. The Short-eared Dogs eats small mammals, fish, insects, fruits and reptiles. The Short-eared Dog is on the Threatened Species list.
