Slavistics

Slavistics or Slavic Studies is the study of Slavic languages, literature and culture. A Slavist or Slavicist is a linguist or philologist who researches Slavistics, a Slavic (AmE) or Slavonic (BrE) scholar.

NB: not to be confused with Pan-Slavists.
