South Bucks is one of four local government district in the administrative county of Buckinghamshire, in South East England.
It was formed on April 1, 1974 by the merger of Beaconsfield urban district and part of Eton Rural District. It was originally known as Beaconsfield, but adopted its present name in 1980. It is actually formally called 'South Bucks' rather than 'South Buckinghamshire'.
