South Norwood Country Park
From Freepedia
South Norwood Country Park is a park in South Norwood, close to Elmers End railway station, in the London Borough of Croydon. It is located on the site of an old sewage farm that closed in 1967.
Work began on creating the Country Park in the late 1980s, by landscaping the area and the digging of a lake on the site. It has preserved wetland habitats and many different types of birds and butterflies can be seen at the park.
