From Freepedia

Steve O'Rourke was born in October, 1940 in London, England. He was well known for being manager of rock band Pink Floyd from 1968 to his death in October of 2003. He was with the band from their departure of Syd Barrett to the success of Dark Side of the Moon and everything in between. He was the person who signed the band to Columbia Records in the US in late 1972/early 1973. He also had to weather the band's fall-out with member Roger Waters. Steve was also a keen racing driver and had his own racing and management companies EMKA named after his daughters Emma and Kate. Steve sadly passed away in Miami, Florida, USA, in October 2003.

His funeral service was held on November 14, 2003 at Chichester Cathedral in Sussex, England, where as a tribute to Steve, Pink Floyd survivors David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason performed together for the first time since October of 1994.

They played "Fat Old Sun" and "The Great Gig In The Sky", with Dick Parry playing the saxophone as he followed the coffin which was a fitting tribute to the man who took a big part in shaping the band's career.
