TNA Turning Point

From Freepedia

Turning Point is the name of one of the monthly professional wrestling pay-per-view events held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Originally the second monthly pay-per-view held by TNA, its name is the first one to be reused, and is currently the designation for TNA pay-per-views held in December.

Notes

  • Throughout Turning Point, several vignettes aired showing two people, TNA employee Tim Welch and an unknown actor, dressed as WWE personalities Vince McMahon and Triple H searching for the footage backstage. They found a tape, which "Triple H" destroyed with his trademark sledgehammer, but the tape turned out to be "The Best of D-Ray 3000" (a TNA jobber). Later that evening, "Vince" was injured by a midget who hit him with a cookie tray (the TNA wrestlers who had invaded the WWE video shoot had brought cookies and balloons as welcoming gifts). As "Vince" was loaded into an ambulance, "Triple H" asked his "daddy" what he should do (Triple H is McMahon's son-in-law, a position which has in the past led to accusations of nepotism).
  • During the Six Sides of Steel Tag Team main event, Elix Skipper did his now-legendary cagewalk rana on Chris Harris. This match illicited not only the usual chants of "holy shit" and "this is awesome" from the typically excitable Orlando crowd, but also chants of "Best Match Ever".
