Thomas and the Magic Railroad

Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a movie made in 2000 based between the lines of the well known TV Series, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and its American spinoff, Shining Time Station. view photo
It begins when Lily (Mara Wilson) is on her way to visit her Grandpa Burnett (Peter Fonda), but gets on a wrong train. Luckily she gets help from Mr. Conductor's cousin, Junior(Michael Rodgers), who shows her a world of magic.
There is a friendly steam engine called Thomas who pulls the train from the town of Shining Time to The Island of Sodor. But there is trouble about, as Diesel 10, a villainous engine, has put out of commission one of Thomas' friends, Lady the Golden Engine.
Normally Mr Conductor would be late, but he is out of magic gold dust. So Lily sets off with Thomas to find some more magic dust and stop the evil engines.
The movie, which was written and directed by Britt Allcroft, was both a critical and box-office disaster. This resulted in Ms. Allcroft being fired by her production manager.
