The word topology can refer to:
- General
The study or science of places. It derives its name from the Greek words τοπος meaning place and λογος meaning study, talk. See earth science, geography, human geography, and geomorphology for specific uses. The term can also be used in architecture to describe spatial effects which can not be described by topography, i.e., social, economical, spatial or phenomenological interactions.
- Mathematics
In mathematics, topology is a branch concerned with the study of topological spaces. The collection of open sets used to define a topological space.
- Electronic arts
