Toride, Ibaraki

Toride (取手市; -shi) is a city located in Ibaraki, Japan.

As of March 15, 2005 (but including the increase due to the Fujushiro merger), the city has an estimated population of 113,475 and the density of 1622 persons per km². The total area is 69.96 km².

The city was founded on October 1, 1970. On March 28, 2005 the neighboring town of Fujishiro merged with the city, nearly doubling its size.
