Since the first opening in 1986 (Seattle), Torrefazione Italia Coffee café have served espresso and coffee to an ever-growing audience of coffee lovers who prefer their intensely flavorful coffee to all others. Their authentic roasting style and expert blending creates a coffee experience that is truly unforgettable.

Torrefazione Italia Coffee has grown by establishing cafes in Vancouver BC, the San Francisco Bay Area, Portland, Chicago, and Dallas, and their coffees are served by fine restaurants, hotels, and cafes throughout the world. Along with its locations, Torrefazione Italia Coffee cafés has 26 clients and 2 Art partners.

Torrefazione Italia Coffee cafés serve only classic Italian-style coffee. This coffee was created and brought to the United States by second-generation coffee roasters from Perugia, Italy.

A Seattle, Washington based company, Starbucks, purchased the cafe a long with Seattle's Best Coffee back in 2003. Starbucks announced in 2005 that all 17 Torrefazione Italia cafés would be closed before the end of the year.

All of the San Francisco retail locations are now closed, as of 10/27/05.
