Tower Hill is a London Underground station at Tower Hill in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The station is in Travelcard Zone 1 and is near to the Tower of London. It is located beneath one of the largest remaining segments of the Roman wall that formerly surrounded London.
It is on the Circle Line between Monument and Aldgate, and the District Line between Monument and Aldgate East. It is close to Tower Gateway DLR station and Fenchurch Street railway station.
It was built on the site of the former Tower of London tube station that was closed early in the history of the Underground. It replaced a station with the same name, but earlier called Mark Lane tube station, that was situated further west. Image:Tower hill exit.JPG
