Triple Divide Peak (8020 ft/2444 m) is located in
Glacier National Park,
Montana,
United States. The
Continental Divide and the
Hudson Bay divide meet at the summit of the peak, and all water that falls at this point flows either to the
Pacific,
Arctic or the
Atlantic Oceans. Rainfall on the western side of the peak enters the
Flathead River, a tributary of the
Columbia River and on to the Pacific Ocean. The northeastern slope of the mountain sheds water towards the
Saskatchewan River which flows to Hudson Bay. Moisture on the southeastern slopes supply the
Marias River which is a tributary of the
Missouri River and eventually empties into the
Gulf of Mexico.
