Tronador

Tronador is a mountain in the border between Argentina and Chile near Bariloche, in the Nahuel Huapí National Park. It is covered by seven glaciers and it is 3,491 meters high. It was named Tronador (Spanish for 'Thunderer') by locals in reference of the sound of falling seracks. It was first climbed by Hermann Claussen on 29 January 1934 in solitary after several attempts.
