Trumpetfish (Aulostomus maculatus) are long bodied fish that often swim vertically while trying to blend with vertical coral, like sea rods or sea whips, and pipe sponges.
They occur in waters between 3 and 30 meters deep and can grow to 40 to 80 cm in length.
