Tulipa turkestanica
"Turkistan Tulip"
Creamy-white colored flowers with orange-yellow centers. Flowers are produced on branched stems. Plants produce 3 to 12 flowers per bulb. This species grows from 8 to 12 inches tall with narrow blue green foliage. A nice plant for the rock-garden in full sun and well draining soils. Early flowering, blooming in early spring.
Hardy is USDA zones 5-8. This species is native from Kazakhstan to North West China were it is found growing in rocky soils.
